Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - NDSU and Riding on Angels' Wings are teaming up to tackle a different type of therapy.

"ROAW" is a type of equine treatment. And this weekend, the company introduces the first of its kind workshop to this region where students are able to obtain their certification for equine therapy and other programs through horsemanship.

ROAW says a program like this is invaluable to those with disabilities. So, they can break through hospital routine.

Bette Shipley, ROAW: "Children get tired of the setting. Where they come here and they feel like they're riding a horse. They're doing something outside of that setting but yet, we're intertwining therapy at the same time."

Once students pass evaluations, their certification is recognized world-wide.
