FARGO - The Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament reported unfortunate news on Sunday that a storage facility it rents in north Fargo was burglarized last month.

Burglars made away with 111 charity auction items according to the tournament's auction coordinator Jerry Rostad.

Rostad said of items stolen, 76 were autographed baseballs from various Hall of Fame baseball players including Paul Molitor, Rollie Fingers and Whitey Ford.

Tournament organizers discovered the theft when preparing for the auction this week.

The tournament's charity auction was held at the Holiday Inn in Fargo and an announcement was made about the theft due to reduced amount of items that were up for bid.
