For the first time, outlaws sprints rolled onto I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- When the World of Outlaws are in town, racing track promoters don't have a tough time getting fans to fill up the stands.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- When the World of Outlaws are in town, racing track promoters don't have a tough time getting fans to fill up the stands.

Tonight, for the first time ever the outlaws sprints rolled onto I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls.

In front of a packed house! Fargo's Donny Schatz looked like he had been racing on this track forever, he made a joke of his heat race, winning by about 8 car lengths. But, there was no joke about how excited the owners of I-94 speedway are to land the best show on dirt.

Dick Johanneck- I-94 Speedway Owner: "It's a real shot in the arm to get that group in here. They have really good advertising with them and bring a lot of customers. It's wonderful. Oh, we're very excited to have the outlaws here.

Roch Johanneck- I-94 Speedway Owner: "It just happened that they came to us with Fargo closing for the year and possibly for the next several years and asked us if we'd be interested in leasing the track to them for the night and of course we were."
