Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Police arrested a man in South Fargo after witnesses say he rammed an ethnic restaurant with his car and then tried to run down a bystander several times.

A witness says late this afternoon, the man drove into the Habib Cuisine. That's in the strip mall off 13th avenue and 24th street.

The crash broke the entry of the restaurant and shattered window.

When an employee from nearby O"Reillys went to take pictures and check on the man, he says the driver tried to ram him with his car several times and threatened to kill him!

Rodney Lisburg- Witness: "And then I was trying to go back to my work, and every time I would try to go back to the door, he would step on the gas and try and run me over, and I tried to pull him out of the car but he has backed up and broke my arm loose."

Police had to draw their weapons on the man - who witnesses say challenged police to shoot him.

The man was arrested. It appears alcohol was a factor.
