Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The NDSU basketball team played against Indiana at the legendary Assembly Hall.

Bison fans were soaking up such a unique opportunity to play at a big-time national power.

This season, they'll get a similar feeling, twice, with the team playing at Ohio State and Notre Dame.

As we told you late last night, the Bison will play the Buckeyes and Irish this December. It's part of the same contract that got NDSU it's game at Indiana last season.

Ohio State has made the sweet 16 or better for 4 straight years, while Notre Dame has become a perennial 20-game winner. Phillips says it's an opportunity to make his team stronger come next March.

Saul Phillips- NDSU Head Coach: "The lights are as bright as they are gonna be. It also helps coaches see who responds favorably in those situations, we are making decisions about what we are gonna do in similar spots down the road and hopefully get a crack at a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Who handles those situations well, if they don't handle them well, why don't they handle them well? What can we do to make them handle them better? It's a learning experience for our players, it's a learning experience for our coaches and it's just a lot of fun let's face it."
