FARGO – Firefighters and police responded to a blaze at 4114 Timberline Drive in south Fargo shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday.

Fargo police Officer Fred Lassonde said the fire was located in the roof.

Ashley Engkjer, who was outside while crews battled the blaze, said her father, Wayne, owns the home. She said neighbors heard a noise during the storm, looked out and saw the fire.

Wayne Engkjer was on his way back from Pelican Lake late Thursday night. No one was home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

The home was still smoking at 11:15 p.m.
