Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Volunteers are offering free legal advice to low-income or homeless veterans in Fargo.
The first ever drop-in legal clinic at the V-A is put on by the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans. And aims to give people, who've served, information and help they may not be able to afford otherwise.
Veterans were able to walk up and receive legal advice on topics like child support, employment benefits, or debt collection, as well as many others.
Volunteer lawyers did all of the work for free. Tabs that usually would cost around 600 dollars.
Bill Guy- Volunteer Attorney Former Veteran: "It's a wonderful opportunity to do this. It's the first time it's been done in Fargo/Moorhead and I think we're going to do it some more. It's getting a nice turnout and it's being well received."
The clinic ran from 9 to 3 today at the VA.
