Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Today marks the 6 month anniversary of the Sandy Hook Tragedy and now a group in Fargo is calling for action.
The group Organization for Action North Dakota rallied in Fargo today to raise awareness for commonsense gun violence prevention legislation.
Members believe not enough has been done with gun legislation since the tragedy.
They hope the rally will keep their message in the minds of legislators so more action for stricter gun laws will be taken.
John Jorgensen- OFA-ND Volunteer: "Awareness and letting people know that we're not backing down on this issues that's it not going away, just because it's been 6 months doesn't mean that we've forgotten. We haven't forgotten the children that died, the heroic staff that died, we want to make sure that people remember that this is something that matters especially to people in North Dakota."
In less than 5 months more than 2 point 5 million volunteers have taken action through this organization.
