Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Perham ended a nine year state tournament drought this afternoon in St. Cloud, hoping to continue its late season run.

The Yellowjackets entered today's game with Delano winners of seven in a row. They'd have their hands with the Tigers who were seeded second for the tournament.

Jack Stigman, Perham Third Baseman: “This is just a huge win. Great team baseball. Lay down sacrifices, great pitcher threw strikes, we just put the ball in play played Perham baseball."

Eric Brauch, Perham Starting Pitcher: “Got up 1-0 early. Getting that run, everybody's heads up. We're ahead of Delano, double the enrollment of our school. Huge confidence boost. That was what we needed throughout the game."
