Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Salvation Army is making sure students don't go hungry this summer.
For the third year in a row the mobile outreach meals program will offer hot meals to students. The program is designed for students who are on free and reduced meal program but there is no registration and anyone is welcome.
There are three locations that serve lunch Monday through Friday all summer months. Those are McCormick Park from 11 to 11:30, Madison Park from 12 to 12:30, and McKinley Elementary from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
Kimberly Wagner, Case Manager/Salvation Army: “We actually follow the school program. Our cook is actually a cook with Fargo public schools, so it's the same kind of foods. We have the same balance. We have the fruits and the vegetable.”
Volunteers are needed for this program. If you would like to help contact the Salvation Army.
