Assistant coach named for NDSU men's hoops team

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A former men's basketball player at North Dakota State University is returning as an assistant coach.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A former men's basketball player at North Dakota State University is returning as an assistant coach.

Head coach Saul Phillips says he has hired Freddy Coleman to replace Jason Kemp, who was hired as an assistant coach at Toledo in May.

Coleman has been the top assistant at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., the past two years. He played three seasons for the Bison, from 2007-11.
