Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The Minnesota state golf tournament begins tomorrow in three different sites; but the local focus will be on Jordan; where a dynasty can be born over the next two days.

The Detroit Lakes boys and girls teams are back; each looking to continue

their dominance.

The boys, led by Drake bound Karter Smith are going for third straight title; while the girls led by 9th grader Kate Smith are going for back to back titles and say to do this together makes it even more special.

Karter Smith- Detroit Lakes Sr. Golfer: "It's so much fun; it's cool having her on the team be able to watch and grow as a player and to play for last 2-3 years has been great have a sibling at the state tournament that's pretty special and definitely grateful for it."

Kate Smith- Detroit Lakes Freshman Golfer: "I think he can do it he's put a lot of hard work in over the years; I think he can get this one; I'm hoping."

Karter has been the individual runner-up 2 straight years. Jody Norstedt will have much more tonight at 10 about the dominance in D-L and he'll anchor our coverage from Jordan beginning tomorrow at 6.
