Driver that killed a Moorhead High School Student has been sentenced

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The driver in an August rollover that killed a Moorhead High School Student, is headed to a corrections camp.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The driver in an August rollover that killed a Moorhead High School Student, is headed to a corrections camp.

17-year old Kullen Carney was sentenced today, as a juvenile, for vehicular homicide.

The crash killed Austin Wagar and injured Brendan Daly.

Carney had prescription drugs and majijuana in his system.

Carney is set to spend 105 days at Camp Thistledew, a department of correction camp in Cook, Minnesota.

Carney will also complete 100 hours of community service, and be without a drivers license until his 18th birthday, which is this November.

He'll also be on supervised probation until his 21st birthday, and must participate in other county programs and panels.
