FAIRMOUNT, N.D. – A two-vehicle crash this morning near Fairmount sent five people to the hospital, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash happened about 10:10 a.m., about eight miles southwest of Fairmount.
According to the Highway Patrol:
Kevin Amundson, 54, of Homestead, Mont., was driving eastbound on 99th St. S.E., and David Green, 79, of Fairmount, was southbound on 179th Ave. S.E., when Green failed to yield for a yield sign and the two vehicles collided in an intersection.
Green and a passenger in Amundson’s vehicle, Mary Amundson, 46, were taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Breckenridge, Minn.
Three minors who were riding in the back seat of the Amundson vehicle were taken to St. Francis by a private party.
The crash remains under investigation.
