Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Jared Allen has been everything and then some in his five years for the Minnesota Vikings; he has racked up double digits in sacks the last six years.

But he's entering the final year of his contract with the Purple where he's scheduled to make 14 million.

Allen is not participating in OTA's or the mandatory minicamp this month as he rehabs both shoulder and knee injuries and says there's no beef with the Vikings over no contract extension.

Jared Allen- Vikings Defensive End: "I'm not an idiot; I know there's a saying that everyone gets cut in the NFL there's an age in mind do need to bring young product in; I understand that; and that's why I say i'm glad they are honoring the commitment they made to me and I'll honor the commitment I made to them...i've never questioned where I stand with the Vikings; great relationship with Rick, Rob, Ziggy and Coach Frazier and that's the way it will stay; lot is hoopla it will take care of itself."

Allen isn't the only player who's contract is up; the entire starting defensive line has their deals up after next season.
