Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Crews are working to clean up after an early morning water main break on Broadway floods two of Sanford's downtown buildings.

Just after six this morning fire crews responded to water and debris rushing into the lower levels of the Broadway clinic.

People are still trying to get water out of the building. After it flooded the underground tunnel connecting both of Sanford's building on each side of Broadway. And some basement offices.

Shortly after the call this morning fire crews responded and were able to shut off the water and help fix the break.

But even though it was a fairly quick fix. The damage could take several weeks to repair.

Tons of sand and debris came in with the water. Making clean up much more difficult.

Sanford employees say they'll work to make sure everything is safe and sanitary, and say no patient services were interrupted.
