Roesler wins 800 semifinal heat at NCAA championships

EUGENE, Ore. – University of Oregon junior Laura Roesler won her heat in the semifinals of the women’s 800 meters at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday, securing a spot in the final.

EUGENE, Ore. – University of Oregon junior Laura Roesler won her heat in the semifinals of the women’s 800 meters at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday, securing a spot in the final.

Roesler, who graduated from Fargo South, had a time of 2 minutes, 3.63 seconds. She won her heat by .44 seconds, and her time was the third-best among the 22 runners in three heats.

The women’s 800 final is at 7:20 p.m. CDT on Friday.
