Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Ribfest is underway and, of course, the vendors all boast the best barbeque sauce. But one in particular definitely has the hottest sauce. So hot, they require customers to sign a waiver.

Johnson's Barbeque out of Chesapeke, Virginia is offering a sauce so hot, they say it can corrode metal. It's called thermo-nuclear sauce, and it rates 600,000 Scoville units.

Dan Johnson, the sauce's creator, claims it is too spicy to even put in a bottle, because of gas build up. Customers must be 21 years old and sign a liability waiver before digging in.

Johnson says the thermo-nuclear sauce can even cure what's ailing you.

Dan Johnson, Johnson’s Bar-B-Que: "You try it, it instantly clears up your sinuses, it really does. It puts some pep in your step. Warms you up if it’s hot. It's the best way to reduce your power bill really easily. Just every once in a while, take a little of that thermonuclear sauce, it really actually works."
