BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Department of Transportation says water has receded from U.S. Highway 52 south of Minot and from U.S. Highway 2 east of Berthold.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Department of Transportation says water has receded from U.S. Highway 52 south of Minot and from U.S. Highway 2 east of Berthold.

North Dakota Highway 200 four miles east of Hurdsfield remains closed due to flooding.

The department says that U.S. Highway 83 nine miles north of Max, North Dakota Highway 53 east of Max and North Dakota Highway 200 four miles west of Hurdsfield are open to traffic but with reduced speeds due to flood waters.

Officials say that fluctuating water levels make it difficult to predict when and where water will go over a roadway or recede from the roadway. The department is encouraging drivers to check road conditions before traveling.
