Police are reminding drivers of motorcycle safety this season

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Another motorcycle driver in Moorhead was sent to the hospital, after crashing on highway 75.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Another motorcycle driver in Moorhead was sent to the hospital, after crashing on highway 75.

The crash happened Sunday afternoon. When the driver's motorcycle was thrown nearly the length of a football field after he lost control.

Police say he was wearing a helmet, and want to remind drivers of motorcycle safety this season.

There are more motorcycles on the road now, and they're advising everyone to be more cautious.

LT. Tory Jacobson- Moorhead Police: "As far as safety precautions, certainly we all know that the helmet is probably the most important piece of equipment you can have if you are involved in a crash."

Jacobson says Minnesota motorcycle fatalities were up 26 percent last year.
