BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota woman has been sentenced to two years in prison for trying to run over a man after an argument.

Thirty-year-old Maureen Red Stone, of Cannonball, pleaded guilty in December to assault with a dangerous weapon.

The incident happened on Sept. 29, 2012, after Red Stone and the victim argued. Authorities say Red Stone got into a van and struck the victim, whose injuries were not life-threatening.

U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland ordered Red Stone to pay back more than $2,000.
