BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Bismarck man was sentenced Tuesday to eight years in prison for robbing a newspaper carrier and a convenience store in Bismarck.
The Tribune reported that 25-year-old Matthew Tschaekofske (chy-KOF'-skee) received a four-year sentence on each of two felony robbery charges. The sentences will be served consecutively.
Tschaekofske pleaded guilty in February. He was accused of ordering a Tribune delivery person out of a car at gunpoint at 3:45 a.m., driving off and robbing a convenience store about 15 minutes later.
