GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A former educator and coach in northeastern North Dakota says he will plead guilty to trying to lure girls over the Internet.

A plea agreement filed in district court earlier this week shows that 28-year-old Jeremy Thompson will plead guilty to five of 11 luring charges.

Authorities say the investigation began after Thompson was accused of luring a 12-year-old girl from his former school in Edmore while working as a paraprofessional and coach in Grand Forks schools.

The Grand Forks Herald reports that Thompson allegedly created Facebook accounts using fake names and posed as middle and high school students.

The plea deal calls for a sentence of 21 years in prison, with 10 years suspended.
