Ulen, Minnesota (WDAY TV) - High water caused trouble in the small town of Ulen, Minnesota overnight.

Heavy rain started coming down around 11 last night. Streets and yards were flooded with what radar indicated could have been five to six inches of rain.

The main sensor on the city's lift system went off early this morning. Crews had to use additional pumps to keep up. They got the system up and running properly a few hours later.

Randy Zimmerman, Ulen Mayor: “It looked like we were keeping up and then this morning when we got some additional rain fall and then I suppose people in the city started using some water, we ended up with a bigger problem.”

Zimmerman says they will keep a close eye on the system to make sure it doesn't get overwhelmed again.
