Minnesota dairy cooperative donates 40K pounds of macaroni

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A Minnesota-based agriculture and dairy cooperative is donating 40,000 pounds of macaroni and cheese to the Regional Food Bank in Oklahoma.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A Minnesota-based agriculture and dairy cooperative is donating 40,000 pounds of macaroni and cheese to the Regional Food Bank in Oklahoma.

Land O'Lakes announced Thursday it was making the emergency donation since the food bank has seen an increased demand as a result of last week's tornadoes that ripped through the Oklahoma City area.

The donation is part of the company's First Run program, which donates truckloads of products across the country to help alleviate hunger.

Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Executive Director Rodney Bivens says the donation will help Oklahomans who have been affected by last week's deadly tornadoes.

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is the state's largest hunger relief organization.
