Funeral is held for 16-year-old killed in a traffic accident

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Friends and family of 16-year-old McCain Endres, who was killed in a traffic accident, said final good-byes today.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Friends and family of 16-year-old McCain Endres, who was killed in a traffic accident, said final good-byes today.

Endres collided with a car while riding his motorcycle last Wednesday afternoon in Grand Forks.

Many were shocked because at first his injuries seemed to be non-life threatening.

Friends packed into the Calvalry Lutheran Church this afternoon in Grand Forks.

Friends say the funeral is a sad time, but with all of the great memories of McCain that are being shared today. Made it made it a celebration of life.

McCain's family says support from the community has also made this tragedy a little easier to get through.

Donna Krause- McCain's Grandmother: "They have been absolutely wonderful. They had a vigil out in front of their house on Thursday evening and it was just awesome to watch all of these kids. All we here is about the bad kids we never hear about the good young adults and it's been amazing."

Grand Forks Central Students made a make shift memorial on the corner of Sixth Street and Second Avenue North. Where the accident happened. Hundreds have written their goodbyes on a light poll.
