(WDAY TV) -- While many are using the holiday weekend to get out fishing, maybe watch some baseball. Some chose to hit the dirt track.

A great memorial day crowd on hand tonight at Buffalo River Race Park for it's weekly Sunday night show.

Not everyone is in mid-summer form. Someone forgot to tape down the hood.

Now, these drivers have some interesting stories. But, Fargo's Paul Colvin may have had the best tonight. He won his heat in the pure stocks, but about 4 hours before he was graduating from Oak Grove high school.

Paul Colvin/Graduated and Raced today: "During graduation I was just happy and excited, just really thrilled to be graduating. Right afterwards, I forgot all about it and decided to come out and race."

John Colvin/Paul's Dad: "The only thing on his mind all day was how we were going to get the car out here and get ready for graduation at 2 and the green flag dropping at 6."
