Glyndon, MN (WDAY TV) -- Buffalo River State Park is booked for the first time this season.

Usually, by this time weekends are packed. But because of the late spring, crews are just putting the finishing touches on the park. Even the swimming pool is closed for repairs.

It wasn't able to be opened on schedule because maintenance couldn't reach after the heavy snowfall. State Park officials aren't worried. They say they plan for things like this.

Nick Bartel with Buffalo River State Park says, "Last year, it was kind of an outlier with the really nice winter we had. So, we were busy for most of the month of May. This year it took until mid May for things to pick up for us."

Park officials expect the rest of the summer to be busy as usual.
