Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A Minnesota State Trooper made an arrest in a 13-year-old burglary case thanks to a routine traffic stop.

The trooper pulled over 31-year-old Nelson Escamilla for speeding on May 17th on highway 210.

Authorities say he gave fake information and denied having a driver’s license. When he finally gave his real name, the trooper found Escamilla was one of three who allegedly broke into a woman's Pelican Rapids trailer home in July of 2000.

He was eventually arrested but failed to show you at a court hearing.

Escamilla will be back in court on charges of lying to police and the burglary charges in June.
