Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - If severe weather hits, there are several places you don't want to be.
If you live in a mobile home, are outside, or aren't close to home when severe weather hits, there are several places you can go.
Some safe places to go would be a court house, library or grocery store. Most of these buildings were built to be safe shelters.
If sirens go off, it's best to know where you'll go, and go there immediately.
Bryan Green, Clay Co. Emergency Mgt. Dir.: “Best of all you should probably plan ahead, and say there’s severe weather and I live in a trailer court and we have a thunderstorm warning, a tornado warning, I'm going to get out of here and I'm going to go stay somewhere else.”
If you live in a mobile park and don't have a designated place to go, contact your park manager to designate a place.
