Dog helps police arrest a man after a car chase

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- A Moorhead man can blame his dog for ending up in jail after a chase and crash with a police car over the weekend.

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- A Moorhead man can blame his dog for ending up in jail after a chase and crash with a police car over the weekend.

Police say they tried to pull over 35 year old Nathan Carr in South Moorhead about 1 on Sunday morning when he took off. His car stalled after hitting a floodwall and the police car chasing him crashed into him. Here's a look at the police car.

Carr then took off again, Several hours later, police spotted him outside an apartment building with a dog.

Carr ran, leaving his dog behind. But the dog followed, leading officers to Carr's hiding place in a group of trees. Carr is facing a list of charges including DWI, feeling and drug possession.
