Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The first lawsuit has been filed against North Dakota for anti-abortion measures passed by the legislature just weeks ago.

The Center for Reproductive Rights is representing the Red River Women's Clinic in Fargo. The group is asking for an injunction over the law set to take effect this fall that requires physicians at abortion clinics to have hospital admitting privileges within 30 miles of the facility.

The group promises to challenge two more new anti-abortion laws. Pro-life supporters say the legal court costs are worth it.

Rachelle Sauvageau, Abortion Protestor: “Do we ever put a value on human life? We are in a position now in North Dakota, God has blessed us with finances and some of those resources are to protect human life.”

A similar law in Mississippi has been blocked by a federal judge.
