Sanford Pentagon to host NBA preseason game

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A $19 million basketball facility opening in Sioux Falls in the fall will host an NBA preseason game and a major college men's basketball game.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A $19 million basketball facility opening in Sioux Falls in the fall will host an NBA preseason game and a major college men's basketball game.

The Argus Leader reports the Minnesota Timberwolves and Milwaukee Bucks will play at the Sanford Pentagon Oct. 10. The facility also will host a college basketball showdown between Wisconsin and St. John's Nov. 8.

The five-sided Sanford Pentagon is a 160,000-square-foot facility with nine basketball courts for players of all ages and a center court that will be home to the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League. The basketball facility will be part of a larger sports complex affiliated with Sanford Health.

Joe Krabbenhoft, son of Sanford Health CEO Kelby Krabbenhoft, played at Wisconsin and is on the Badgers coaching staff.
