Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The 9th annual Fargo Marathon has already had to adjust the course for this year's race and now the organizing committee has adjusted the finish, nothing will change about entering the Fargodome, but it's the way that the runners will enter the dome after some controversy last year.

If you remember at the conclusion of last year's half-marathon; former

Fargo South standout Andrew Carlson was leading the race when he was

caught up in slower traffic and passed by Joe Moore right before crossing

the tape to win, now Mark Knutson and his group have made some adjustments.

Knutson says, "With respect to the finish line chute, let's just say that if someone is going to cross into the other lane this year; they're going to have to jump over a 4-foot barricade to do it. We have a pretty solid wall of hard plastic that's going to be coming in from the north entrance of the dome all the way down to the loading ramp. So, that should keep everyone separated in addition to the volunteers telling everyone to stay in their lanes, which they were last year. So, we'll have that going this year for sure."

I left a message with Carlson to see if he was running this year; haven't heard anything yet; Knutson will join me on Dizzo's Den tonight at 6:30

on 970 WDAY.
