Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- Women are teaming up to help others less fortunate have a home.

They're joining Habitat for Humanity and Lowes for national women build week.

The volunteers gathered at Moorhead's Habitat for Humanity Rebuild Store. With tools, materials, and passion, the women put together parts for two homes that the Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity plans to build this summer.

April Nelson who received a home last year says, "it was amazing. It gives myself and my family a chance to have a house before I thought I would get to I guess."

About 10-thousand women nationwide volunteered at a Habitat for Humanity construction site.
