Representative from Hong Kong teaching about possible North Dakota export increases

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo business leaders are learning about how North Dakota can increase its exports to Hong Kong.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo business leaders are learning about how North Dakota can increase its exports to Hong Kong.

Subrina Chow, a representative from Hong Kong's Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco toured NDSU and shared her views with business leaders.

She says North Dakota's strong agricultural economy could benefit Hong Kong while increasing revenue for the state.

Right now North Dakota exports less than 1 percent of the United States' total exports to Hong Kong.

Subrina Chow, Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office: “We are coming here to meet your government agencies and business organizations and actually, generally, your business communities to try to introduce them to Hong Kong and talk to them and introduce to them the advantages of using Hong Kong.”

Chow also visited Bismarck on Wednesday.
