EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Police and volunteers are searching for an Eden Prairie woman whose ex-boyfriend fatally shot himself outside the Eden Prairie police station.

Police say a group of people found several small pieces of tissue Sunday morning with what appeared to be blood on the surface. Police closed off the area, but concluded the finding was likely unrelated to the disappearance of 24-year-old Mandy Marie Matula. Police designated the area as a crime scene until further notice anyway.

Matula has been missing since leaving her family's home late Wednesday. She was last seen with 24-year-old David M. Roe, who shot himself in the head outside the Eden Prairie police station Thursday. He was pronounced dead Friday. Police are trying to determine of an unfired bullet found Saturday is linked to the case.
