12 injured when truck collides with party bus

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Twelve people were sent to the hospital when a pickup collided with a party bus on a North Dakota Highway.

The Bismarck Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/18HNoyY) that the pickup driver, 31-year-old James Warner Jr., was arrested and charged with drunken driving, driving with a suspended license and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Morton County Sgt. Tad Pritchett says Warner also has warrants for his arrest in Virginia for failure to register as a violent sex offender and probation violations.

Pritchett the crash happened shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday on N.D. Highway 1806. As many as 24 people were on the bus, some of whom were standing at the time of the crash.

Pritchett says most of the injuries were to the upper body and head. Some were considered serious.
