DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — Work is finally getting under way on a $14 million public works building in Dickinson.

Officials scheduled a Thursday ground-breaking for the project that has been delayed about half a month by prolonged wintry weather.

Architect Carl Shipley tells The Dickinson Press that the building will bring all of the city's public works divisions into one facility. Right now they're scattered around the city.

Work on the building should be done in about a year. It's designed to last for at least the next half century.
