BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Rural areas in parts of North Dakota are dealing with flooding after a weekend of warm weather that melted snow.

The American Red Cross tells the Grand Forks Herald that overland flooding in Rolette County prompted the evacuation of eight families late Sunday. Their mobile homes were damaged by 2 feet of water.

Six of the families are staying with family or friends, and the other two are staying in a hotel in Rolla.
