Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- With "The Red" at Wahpeton cresting, it's usually a sign Fargo is just a couple of days away from its peak.

Work on two, 2nd street dikes is running around the clock. This is right by the downtown high rise. The river right now in Fargo is at about 27 feet. Expected to hit 38 feet on Wednesday.

Here's a look just down the road, this work by city hall is going on simultaneously. Both levees should finish over night.

Meantime, President Obama did approve an Emergency declaration for flooding throughout North Dakota.
