Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The bulk of sandbag levee construction was today, and the City of Fargo hopes to finish up tomorrow.

Volunteers from Davies High School threw 20-thousand sandbags down around Copperfield Court.

Tomorrow, volunteers will lay 19-thousand more sandbags in the Oak Creek and Harwood Groves neighborhoods.

After that, the city will keep an eye on river levels.

Mark Miller- Engineer: "Tomorrow will be the last sandbagging done at the current level of 40 feet. Mother Nature will tell us what to do next."

At ten, find out when you can expect to see 24-hour surveillance on the levees.
