Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- With flood waters rising, Cass County officials want to remind people to be on the look out for road closures.

The county starts seeing problems when the river reaches 28 feet.

At this point many bridges and roads will begin to close.

At a flood meeting County officials stressed just how dangerous driving in high waters can be.

Vehicles can get stalled in just 6 inches of water.

Vern Bennet- Cass County: "We ask you for to be very cautious if you are driving through water, because if water is rushing, a foot in a half of rushing water can take you and your vehicle off the road and down stream."

If you are caught going through a barricade, you'll be fined 250 dollars.
