Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Incredible growth and need for a local charity that is preparing for its big annual fundraiser tomorrow night. The HERO Bash is set for six tomorrow night at the Ramada.

HERO recycles medical and hospital supplies for those in need around our area. There has been a 40 percent jump this year in requests locally for medical supplies from 3,200 families and individuals.

From wheel-chairs and lifts, to wound care products and supplies for the elderly just out of the hospital, HERO has distributed 157,000 pounds of supplies this year alone.

Ty Hegland, HERO Exec. Director: “We didn't have a group like this in the past so as that awareness becomes more and more people are going to utilize our services more just because the cost savings they can benefit from.”

HERO, which also served 33 medical mission teams traveling from this area abroad will host its HERO Bash tomorrow night at the Ramada Plaza Suites. It starts at six and will feature a live auction, silent auction, appetizers and more.

Tickets are available at the door or on-line at herofargo.org.
