Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - With our warm weekend ahead, more people will be out running and biking.

Drivers need to be on the lookout since there hasn't been much traffic during the winter months. It's important for both drivers and runners to be on the lookout for one another.

Since intersections are usually the most dangerous, police say you should slow down and beware.

Pat Claus, Deputy Chief, Fargo Police: “Some of our pedestrians especially our younger children may be caught up in the moment of the nice weather and aren't being maybe as vigilante as they should. That means the drivers are going to have to be twice as veiling to make sure we don't have anything bad happen.”

Claus says runners should always run on the sidewalk for extra safety.
