Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Prosecutors have filed felony criminal charges against a Moorhead man accused of starting a shop fire that sent a volunteer firefighter to the hospital with a heart attack.

An investigation found 59-year-old Bradley Littlefield didn't follow fire code regulations for welding causing the November 28th blaze.

He was working in a paint shop with no sprinkler system, welding in an area used for paint spraying, among other violations.

The fire triggered explosions, a lot of smoke, and the closing of Highway 10. The injured firefighter required two heart stents.

Littlefield faces up to five years in prison.
