The Red River at Grand Forks/East Grand Forks was at 48.94 ft. at 8:30 p.m. Friday. NWS says it reached a crest of 49.87 ft. at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The river is projected to be below major flood stage, 46 ft., by Thursday.
Two of three bridges connecting Grand Forks and East Grand Forks are still closed. The Kennedy Bridge on Gateway Drive is open.
The Red at Fargo was at 35.7 ft. at 8:15 p.m. Friday. The Weather Service says it crested at 38.75 ft. last weekend. It continues to slowly recede, but should remain in major flood stage for at least a week.
In 2009, it crested at 40.8 ft., which was a record.
NWS projects it could be down to about 34 ft. by Thursday.

Sheyenne River at Harwood: 891.22 ft. Flood stage: 884 ft. Projected to remain in major flood stage, which is 891 ft., for at least a week. I-29 from Harwood to Hillsboro is now open.
Sheyenne River at Valley City: 20.36 ft. Flood stage: 15 ft. Projected to rise to 21.3 ft., by Tuesday. Major flood stage is 17 ft. Record flood stage is 20.7 ft.
Sandhill River at Climax: 32.84 ft. Flood stage: 20 ft. Major flood stage is 30 ft. Record stage is 39.4 ft. Projected to be below major stage by late Sunday.
Red River at Oslo: 38.06 ft. Flood stage: 26 ft. Projected to stay high for at least a week. State Highway 1 was closed Tuesday night. There are no roads left open leading into Oslo. The top of the permanent downstream levee is 41.2 ft.
Devils Lake at Creel Bay: 1452.4 ft. NWS the lake could reach 1453 ft. by late next week.
Stump Lake: 1452.25 ft. NWS projects a rise to 1452.8 ft. by late next week.
Red River at Drayton: 42.26 ft. Flood stage: 32 ft. Projected to rise to 43.6 ft. by Tuesday. Major flood stage is 42 ft., and the record stage is 45.5 ft.
Two Rivers River at Hallock: 807.02 ft. Flood stage: 802 ft. Could drop below moderate flood stage, 806 ft., by late Saturday.
Pembina River at Neche: 20.05 ft. Flood stage: 18 ft. Major flood stage is 20.5 ft. NWS projects a rise to 21.5 ft. by the middle of next week. Record flood stage is 24.5 ft.
Red River at Pembina: 47.78 ft. Flood stage: 42 ft. Projected to rise to 51.9 ft. by late Thursday. Major flood stage is 52 ft. Record stage is 54.9 ft. The top of the permanent levee is protected up to 57.3 ft.
