Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The city of Fargo plans to still prepare for 43 feet of protection. Running sandbag deployment and levee schedules as normal.

Even though the new numbers are lower, there's no clear picture of what could really happen yet.

If future forecasts and the deterministic prediction lower levels, then they may decide to cut back.

But for now, better to be over prepared.

Jeremy Gorden- Fargo Traffic Engineer: “As of right now we're planning to protect up to 43 feet and if they need to sit on the street and we protect to something less, that will be great. It's easy to just load them back up in the truck and send them on their way.”

The city says the deterministic will give them a better idea of how high to build.
