New numbers indicate possible lower Red River crest in Fargo

Fargo-Moorhead (WDAY TV) - The Red River in Wahpeton is expected to crest sooner and lower than expected, signalling a possible lower crest for the Red River in Fargo.

Fargo-Moorhead (WDAY TV) - The Red River in Wahpeton is expected to crest sooner and lower than expected, signalling a possible lower crest for the Red River in Fargo.

The Red River in Wahpeton is expected to crest at 16.5' on April 29th and then begin to descend.

The lower crest of the Red River in Wahpeton is expected to lead to a much lower crest than originally predicted by the National Weather Service. At this time the Red River in Fargo is expected to hit 35.4' on April 30th, but it is too early to predict a crest of the Red River in Fargo.
