Bismarck, ND (WDAY TV) -- A weekend news anchor for a Bismarck T-V station is getting coverage around the nation tonight after a major gaffe during his first night on the air.

A.J. Clemente opened his first ever newscast at KFYR-TV with obscenities.

He didn't realize his microphone was on.

KFYR first suspended Clemente, then fired him.

He tweeted that he was trying to pronounce the name of the London Marathon winner "Tsegaye Kebede" (sye-gay keb-uh-duh) before he swore. Clemente tweeted after the broadcast: "That couldn't have gone any worse!"
